Q: What is a "TangaTanga Travel Diary"?
A: If you are going to travel for a long time, a TangaTanga Travel Journal is a cool way to keep in contact with your friends & family. It's basically your own website where everything is organised automatically for you (The only thing you have to do, is to write your own stories & upload your photos...)

TangaTanga.com has been designed with the long-term traveller in mind, meaning user-friendliness & FAST uploading is top priority!

Q: Why should I use TangaTanga? What are the advantages? Why not use a Blog or just E-mail instead?
A: Because...
  • TangaTanga Travel Diaries are specifically designed for the long-term traveller
  • Your Adventures are automatically organized per Country (Country Maps, Photos, Stories, ...)
  • Most blogs out there consist of just 1 (sometimes huge) page. In contrast a TangaTanga Diary is compact (organized per topic) & easy to navigate
  • You don't need knowledge of WebDesign/HTML at all! (Inserting pictures, adding site links, ... is a breeze)
  • Updating your Site has never been easier through our acclaimed user-friendly Control Panel
    See how it looks like!
  • When you get back home, you can have us build a HTML version of your Diary (for a small fee), so you can view it offline (CD-ROM, Your hard-disk, Memory Stick, ...) for eternity!
  • Easy to point people you meet to your website - with your cool 'TangaTanga BizCards' ...
  • Send Newsletters to all people who are subscribed to your Newsletter List
  • Your paper Diary or indeed E-mails can get lost. In contrast TangaTanga Diaries are backed up every night
  • Everything the Traveller needs is grouped in 1 place
  • ...And last but not least, fast server upload/download speeds make you spend less time in Internet Cafe's!
Q: Why is it FREE?
A: Because this site was built by Passionate Travellers themselves, who experienced it first-hand what difficulties you encounter when keeping an online Travel Journal of your Stories & Photographs while crossing the globe.

Q: Hey, nothing's FREE. Right?
A: Wrong. It is FREE. As long as you keep under 5MB of Webspace (roughly 100 Photos in VGA Quality!)

If you need more than 5MB of Webspace this can be purchased for a very small once-off fee.

This small Fee will help cover our costs, e.g. :
  • Monthly Hosting Costs for our Dedicated Server & Database
  • Cost of Daily Backups
  • Cost of Monthly used Bandwidth
  • Cost of Extra Hardware

If you really like TangaTanga & want to support us without spending money, you can support us in one of the following ways.

Q: What happens when I've used up all my available webspace?
A: You get 5 MB of FREE Webspace (roughly 100 Photos) when you signup.

However, if you want more webspace, we can provide this for you for a really small fee:
