Barcelona is in!!
We’ll have lunch and a cappuccino and try to get Gibraltar done today also.
We had a tour of our Villa Casa Grande last night with a wine tasting. The Chianti wines have a strong character because of the Sangiovese grape. I am quite enjoying the less expensive Chianti’s (Yes, Trevor and Diane the 2.99 E bottle we got at the grocery store is a good, young bottle of wine and just as good as the expensive ones.) But more on our tour later…
Good to hear from Len and Lynn. Welcome to a long list of shipmates who were just added to our mailing list.
Love,
L&T

Cannes is in!!
We have found an internet café that charges 2 Euros per hour. Our days include waking at 10am which gets us to the café for Cappuccino and lunch around noon. We spend the next couple of hours composing the next blog story and resizing pictures. Life is good!
Nice to hear from Kelly, Dave and Dawn. Keep it coming.

Rome is in!!
After two weeks with our lovely children and our sweet and special grandchildren, we are back at it. We got to Italy, in a little town called Figline Valdarno, a week ago but our villa/hotel does not have Wi-Fi and we just found the internet café a few days ago. We did have visitors last week also as Trevor and Diane visited for a couple of days and we toured Florence, Pisa and Chianti country. (Any tips, Tim Z on how to bring back large amounts of really good wine?....just kidding)
All excuses aside, we are now back on track and hope to catch up in our final week on our world adventure.
We are homesick for different things – mostly people but some food and I am surprised to say it, English speaking TV.
Keep writing in our guest book as we love to hear from you.
Love,
L&T
P.S. To Dave Smith….We have been shopping in the fashion capital of the world and strangely enough, there is no gray appearing on the runways for the spring line.

Thanks for your letters to us. I guess we must be getting homesick because the letters are sure fun to read.
Sean: King Tut's tomb was closed because it is one of the smallest as he was so young when he died.
We are a bit behind since Egypt because we have been in a new port almost everyday. Promise to finish before we arrive back in Canada, eh!

We were in Greece yesterday and Leona we did see Terry and Charmaine's ship but we did not see them. Pictures to follow.
Leona, thanks for your email. Isn't it great to get your hands dirty?
Our time is winding down now. Almost a different port everyday until the end. Makes it difficult to keep up. But we do have that 2 weeks in Tuscany to catch up.
Love and Kisses,
L&T

Just a note to let you all know that the blog is up to date. Dubai is in. We are now on our second day of six at sea. This is our biggiest strech. We have been looking forward to it. Nice time to sit by the pool catch a few rays and read a few more books.
It was very nice for me to get to speak to Kevin the other day on the phone from Dubai.
Please keep all the messages coming as we are really enjoying reading them and hearing about you!

Phnom Penh for Sihanoukville, Cambodia and Ko Samui, Thailand are in!
Getting caught up now that we have three sea days before we are off to the Taj Mahal and Agra. It’s overcast today so we may just get another piece of the blog done today. (We had decided to do a bit each day rather than plowing through to get caught up, but there is really nothing interesting to us in the Pacific Patter today.)
Special thanks to Fran and her copious comments.
Keep writing in our guest book as we love to hear from you.
Love,
L&T
P.S. Remember when I said that the cashews that are eaten in Cambodia are not the same ones we eat…..well I stand corrected. One cashew from one fruit is why they are so expensive for us to buy. We bought some fresh from the farm and they are delicious. I’ll correct it in the blog soon.

Siem Reap, Cambodia for Angkor Wat is in!
Tim has been sick and quarantined with an intestinal bacterial infection. He is better now and fit as a fiddle. I was busy keeping him company and getting him food so we are a bit behind on our blog. His illness kept us from going in to Bangkok which was a bit disappointing but Thailand is another one to come back to.
We saw Ko Samui and will see Phuket tomorrow so watch for those soon. (We have three sea days before we reach Cochin, India. And I don’t think I told all of you that we DID get tickets to go to the Taj Mahal another overland trip. WOOOHOOO! And Tallyho!
Keep writing in our guest book as we love to hear from you.

Thanks again for your emails. We really enjoy seeing them and it keeps us in touch.
As a child of the 60's/70's I never thought I would visit Vietnam......
Tim's got a bit of the flu so we are going to miss Bangkok tomorrow. The doctor has quarantined him and put him on penicillin (sp) and expect a full recovery by Ko Samui (day after tomorrow)
Lynn: got your message and will include our room picture with the next blog

China was fabulous and every stop is just better and better.
Glad to hear from all of you in the Guestbook. I have been working on a reply for all of your questions and it will be ready in about a week. We are off to Angor Wat in Cambodia tomorrow. We will be in Ho Chi Min City by 8am tomorrow. This whole trip is still surreal to me, we are loving it! And missing you...

Chantel: Yes Linda does have excellent ponytails and two of them. Gillian and Linley will be very impressed that Nani now has them.

We love hearing from all of you. Keep the comments coming...
Just to answer a few questions...
Chantel: Tim bought me amethyst earrings, necklace and a ring. Lovely.
Trevor: Glad you like those boots. And yes we do go to the beach every time we are in port. We just don't have the space in the blog for those pictures. When we are not loading up the blog, we do lay by the pool and read an suntan. We really like those days.
Dave: Sorry gray is not a colour that is available in the southern hemisphere. You do though have to put Chuuk on your dream dive list with all the wartime wrecks right in the harbour. You must stay at The Blue Lagoon as it is the only safe place to stay in Chuuk. The divers on our ship came back from their day of diving with glazed eyes and mumbling bah, bah, bah. They seem ok now though.
Mike and Diane, et. al.: How is the running going? We had our 7 miler on Sunday past and was it exciting. Waves were in the 12 - 15 foot range. Sometimes it was uphill and the next second it was downhill. Very challenging to walk but no running. I think we are using muscles just walking that we have never used before.
Our highlight of the week were two 5 minute phone calls to our favourite families. How nice to hear everyone's voices.
Love to you all. L&T
P.S. There are still some of you we have not heard from???!!!!!

We have just changed course for Cyclone Jean. We are sailing 400 miles out of our way to avoid her. We are rockin and rollin and it's kind of fun. Captain assures us we will be out of her way by dinner time. No seasickness just bouncing off the walls and running into people, which is a good way to meet new friends.
Welcome to Stan and Sylvia and a rewelcome to Little Mikey. (Who has been a member all along but is not that good on his computer.) The pass code is "090107" and you use it after you click on the invitation at the bottom of this email.
If you know of anyone else who may be interested, just pass along their email and we will add them to the list.
Ciao L&T
