Hello from NZ!

We are back from we're we started two weeks ago. in CHCH (christchurch).
we have done great stuff along the west coast with a memorable heli hike on Fox Glacier.
this is something, if you come to NZ, you cannot miss out. Have a look at the picture and indulge.
Those sunseekers won't probably like the cold and the ice, nonetheless they will be impressed by this truly natural splendour.
We spend almost three full days in Glacier country, We also had great views for the highest NZ peaks, we thought we would not see them because of the bad weather we had upon arrival in Fox Glacier (we had rain rain and rain, pouring rain).
After the ice,  time for rainforest, we walked uphill Okarito, in search of some wildlife, we could see some colourfull birds, but the rest of the wildlife comes out after dusk...

Two days ago we went onwards to Greymouth and Arthur's Pass, were walked mountainside for over 4 hours. Here we saw and heard the Kea, NZ's cheeky mountain parrot. As the Kea was hiding and was trying to approach us, we went back into the bush, because a Kea can potentially be dangerous if you don't supply it colourful and chewy food. once back in the bush time to descend the 1200m we climbed, it took us a while but luckely we had enough water and food to sustain.

Today, March 14 we are back in CHCH, our car has driven 2800 km.
time to debrief and 16th we fly to Nelson, in the North of the South Island. We will undertake a five day walk in Abel Tasman NP.

take care and we'll back on the road soon. New pics are uploaded. enjoy!
